As part of its 20th Anniversary celebration, the West Africa Network for Peacebuilding(WANEP) has honoured former Chief of Staff, Prosper Bani at an awards dinner at the Bestwestern Premier hotel in Accra March 26, 2019.

The award is in recognition of Mr. Bani’s contribution to peace and security in West Africa for the past 20 years as he worked closely with WANEP.

An earlier program to commemorate the anniversary was held at the Tang Palace Hotel on the theme, ‘The future of peace and security in democratic societies, the complementary roles of CSOs’ where Mr. Bani was the Special Guest of Honour.

Other high profile dignitaries present at the opening ceremony was Vice President Dr Bawumia, the Minister of the Interior Ambrose Dery, Minister for National Security and the CDS of the Ghana Armed Forces.

Also present was Dr. Ibn Chambas the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for West Africa and the Sahel.
