The Kingmakers of Kledzadzasi Clan of Botoku are asking the leadership of the Volta Regional House of Chiefs to call the Mankrado of Botoku Traditiona
The Kingmakers of Kledzadzasi Clan of Botoku are asking the leadership of the Volta Regional House of Chiefs to call the Mankrado of Botoku Traditional Area, Togbe Atakorah to order in the interest of peace and security of the area.
Their call was contained in a press statement signed by the Clan Secretary, Mr. Victor Mensah following Togbe Atakrah’s claims that he has been declared winner in the chieftaincy case he filed at the Regional House of Chiefs and that Registrar of the House of Chiefs, Mr. Attipoe has given him three months to install a new chief, an allegation the Registrar, Mr. Attipoe has since denied.
[ads1]According to Mr. Mensah, since Togbe Atakorah has filed the writ at the Regional House of Chiefs in April this year challenging the legitimacy of their newly installed Paramount Chief of Botoku Traditional Area, Togbega Sei II, the case has not been called or the Kledzadzasi Clan has not been invited for any hearing as far as that pending case is concerned.
“We the Kingmakers of Kledzadzasi Clan as a law-abiding as we are will like to place on record: That we have never been invited for any hearing in the pending case filed by Togbe Atakorah challenging the installation of Togbega Sei II as at now” – Mr. Mensah said
In a follow-up interview with Awake News, the Spokesperson of the Family, Rev. Dr. Worlanyo Sei Mensah, said the actions of Togbe Atakorah is very regrettable and threatens peace and stability of the area.
According to him, issues of chieftaincy disputes stampedes the development of the nation and government for that matter the House of chiefs must act swiftly in addressing some of these issues.
Rev. Dr. Mensah said though the Family don’t know what goes into resolving matters like what Togbe Atakorah has referred to the Volta Regional House of Chiefs, the family and the entire citizens of Botoku Traditional Area are disappointed in the House of Chief for not calling the case or inviting any of the parties to the case more than four months now.
He has since called in the Youth and people of Botoku to continue to be law-abiding and calm as they make every effort possible to resolve the dispute to pave way for the development of the area.

VOLTA REGIONAL HOUSE OF CHIEFS MUST CALL TOGBE ATAKORAH TO ORDER
It has come to the attention of the Kingmakers of Kledzadzasi Clan, a news publication on Awake Newspaper online portal www.awakeafrica.com which quoted Togbe Atakorah, Manklado of Botoku Traditional Area to have said that he has won in the case he filed at the Regional House of Chiefs challenging the installation of Togbega Sei II, Paramount Chief of Botoku Traditional Area.
He is also quoted to have claim that he was informed by the Registrar of the Volta Regional House of Chiefs, Mr. Attipoe that he [Togbe Atakorah] has won the case and therefore is given three months to install a new paramount chief.
The same news report also said Mr. Attipoe has denied ever telling Togbe Atakorah that he has been declared a victor and or given him the go ahead to install a new paramount chief of Botoku Traditional Area in three months.
We the Kingmakers of Kledzadzasi Clan as a law-abiding as we are will like to place on record:
1. That we have never been invited for any hearing in the pending case filed by Togbe Atakorah challenging the installation of Togbega Sei II as at now
2. That to our best of knowledge the case is still pending and unresolved
3. That we are well informed that Togbe Atakorah is indeed making some preparations including performing some customary rites at Botoku in bid of installing a another paramount chief which is why we saw it worthy to response to the information as reported in the news
We are as a matter of urgency and without any ambiguity wish to call on the Volta Regional House of Chiefs and allied institutions in the interest of Peace, Stability and Security of the Botoku to call Togbe Atakorah to order.
We have been very peaceful and law abiding in this issue and think this should not be taken for granted.
